Exit a SpookySwap Farm Before Removing Liquidity

Unstake the farmed position first, then withdraw its liquidity through the matching pool or position controls; each step returns a different asset or claim.

Exit a SpookySwap Farm Before Removing Liquidity

To remove liquidity from a SpookySwap farm, first withdraw your position from the farm contract, then use the pool or position controls to exchange that claim for the underlying tokens. The farm holds the claim while it tracks rewards; the liquidity pool holds the two assets. Leaving the farm returns control of the claim to your wallet, but it does not itself return the tokens.

What happens when you exit a farm?

A farm is a separate contract layered on top of a liquidity pool. You deposit a pool position into the farm, which records your share and may accrue incentives under that farm’s rules. The pool position continues to represent your share of the pair, while the farm handles the reward accounting.

On exit, the farm updates your reward balance and releases the position to your wallet. Depending on the farm interface, you may be able to claim rewards separately or as part of withdrawing. Check the transaction details and the pending-reward amount before signing. The returned position may be LP tokens in a standard pool or a position token in a concentrated-liquidity farm.

The distinction matters because each position type has its own next step. For standard LP tokens, the matching pool’s remove-liquidity control uses the tokens to return your share of both assets. For a concentrated-liquidity position, you decrease liquidity in that position and collect the resulting tokens. For network selection and the differences between deployments, this guide to getting started with SpookySwap across chains covers the wider setup. The chain in your wallet must match the position you are managing.

How do you withdraw LP tokens before removing liquidity?

Connect the wallet that deposited the position, select the same network, and open the farm containing it. Find the active position and choose its withdraw or unstake control. Enter the amount to withdraw; choose the full balance if you intend to close the farm position. Review whether the interface includes a reward claim, then confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Wait for the transaction to confirm before moving to the pool. The farm contract has to release the LP tokens or position token on-chain. You can then check that the position is available in the wallet or in the liquidity section. If it does not appear in the wallet display, that alone does not prove it is gone: some interfaces show positions only after you open the relevant pool or farm.

Withdrawing the farm position does not cancel the pool exposure. Until you remove or decrease the liquidity, its value and token mix can still change with pool trades and prices. Rewards also follow the farm’s rules; leaving ends further accrual for that deposited position, while the amount already earned may need a separate claim.

How do you remove liquidity after unstaking?

Open the liquidity page or position view for the same pool, then select the position returned by the farm. For a standard LP-token pool, choose remove liquidity and enter the share to withdraw. The interface estimates the amounts of each token you will receive. Confirm the transaction and check the wallet after it settles.

For a concentrated-liquidity position, choose the control to decrease liquidity. Select the amount to remove, then collect the tokens owed to the position if that step is separate. A position outside its chosen price range may hold mostly one of the two assets, so the returned amounts need not be equal. Removing all liquidity closes the exposure, though the position record may remain until collected or otherwise closed by the interface.

Keep enough of the network’s gas token for the withdrawal and removal transactions. Before signing, check the network, pool pair, token amounts, and transaction action. The main practical rule is to treat leaving the farm and removing liquidity as two distinct steps: the first releases your pool claim; the second redeems it for the assets currently represented by that claim.
